I remember when I used to live with my mom. It's kind of odd though because I moved out when I was 19-- had three kids, got married, got two degrees and interned thrice before landing a job. I know, that was probably more than what you wanted to know but-- it was kind of appropriate.
Anywho when I had my own room in her house I totally used to pretend it was a tiny apartment. Dang-- that was when I had it made. Whew... anywho.. college students are most likely looking for ways to decorate without doing not-so perm styling. And yes-- the same too for renters!
